Proud American?

Yes I am

Cried as a child at the sound of taps

Before thinking of giving myself much later

It spoke of all who came before

To address INDEPENDENCE for themselves

Followed the same idea of pride

In the possibility to end the lies

Does my country serve me, opened my eyes

To stop the melting pot from boiling

Together we are a higher authority

Independent of anything that separates the ingredients

All needed food for thoughts and souls

We have humanity to uphold

Waking each day to see our brother

Even he’s from another mother

Working to end the source of the WORLD’S problems

Not just this land

A higher purpose is at hand

Realizing our greatest hour starts by the word INCLUSION

independence is our dependence on each other to move forward

peacefully and as one,

true patriotism.
